No. 6 seed Miomir Kecmanovic of Serbia and No. 7 seed Brandon Nakashima were shown the door in the first round of the Atlanta Open on Tuesday.

Australian lucky loser Adam Walton saved all three break points he faced and took down Kecmanovic 6-4, 6-4. Mackenzie McDonald needed just 72 minutes to win his all-American matchup with Nakashima 6-2, 6-4. McDonald went 3-for-3 in both saving break points and converting his break-point opportunities.

Another lucky loser, Frenchman Harold Mayot, also advanced by defeating Borna Coric of Croatia 7-6 (9), 6-3. Other winners were Italian qualifier Mattia Bellucci, Russian Aslan Karatsev and France’s Arthur Rinderknech.

All three of the scheduled night matches were postponed until Wednesday because of inclement weather, including one pitting Australians Christopher O’Connell and Max Purcell, the eighth seed.
