Lexi Thompson was fined $2,000 for slow play at the KPMG Women’s PGA.

Thompson and Hye-Jin Choi were fined after being put on the clock with two holes remaining. The final group played 18 holes in five hours, 45 minutes on Sunday, which pushed television coverage from NBC to CNBC.

In that closing stretch, Thompson lost a two-stroke lead to eventual winner In Gee Chun.

Thompson bogeyed four of the final nine holes at Congressional, finishing one shot behind Chun. It was the fourth runner-up finish for Thompson in a major.
