Christian Pulisic, who helped the United States Men’s National Team to two of their three victories over Mexico in 2021, was named United States Male Player of the Year.

Ricardo Pepi, another key USMNT key contributor in 2021, was named U.S. Male Youth Player of the Year.

Pulisic, who plays for Chelsea in England’s Premier League, was awarded the honor over five other finalists, including Westin McKinnie of Juventus in Italy. Also nominated were New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner, Atlanta United defender Miles Robinson, Colorado Rapids midfielder Kellyn Acosta and forward/midfielder Brenden Aaronson, who is in his second season at Red Bull Salzburg in Austria.

Pepi, 18, who made his USMNT debut this year, scored 13 goals for FC Dallas this past season, the most of any United States-born player in MLS. He had three goals in six games for the USMNT.
