Coming off the best season of his young career, shooting guard Cason Wallace signed a multiyear contract extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the team announced Monday.

Contract terms were not released by the team but published reports say Wallace received a five-year, $139 million deal. ESPN attributed terms of the deal to Wallace’s agents at Excel Sports Management.

Wallace, who turns 23 on Nov. 7, is entering his fourth season. He posted career highs in scoring (8.6 points), assists (2.6) and steals (1.9) while averaging 3.1 rebounds over 77 games (58 starts) in 2025-26. The Dallas native and Kentucky product also was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team, leading the league in total steals (150) and deflections (339).

Wallace was a key contributor in last season’s playoffs, averaging 8.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.1 steals in 24.9 minutes per game over 15 games (two starts).

The No. 10 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Wallace was selected by the Dallas Mavericks and traded along with Davis Bertrans to the Thunder in exchange for the rights to Dereck Lively II in a draft-night trade.

Over 227 career games (114 starts) with Oklahoma City, Wallace has averaged 7.9 points on 46.3% shooting from the field, including 37.4% from 3-point range, along with 2.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals in 24.7 minutes per game.
