FC Barcelona will sign bot laner Matthew “Deadly” Smith and support Luca “Lucky” Santos Fontinha to join coach Alejandro “Mapache” Parejo Martinez, according to a report by Upcomer.

The trio have verbally agreed to join the roster less than a week after FC Barcelona announced it is joining the SuperLiga, Spain’s top level of League of Legends competition. They will join top laner Jakub “Dreedy” Viceník, jungler Dimitar “LeBron” Kostadinov and mid laner Mikhail “twohoyrz” Petkov.

Deadly, 22, previously played for BT Excel after breaking into the professional scene with Terra Cotta Army and Magistra.

Meanwhile, Lucky finished the NLC 2021 summer season with Tricked Esports, which finished in first place while winning the summer playoffs. Also 22, Lucky previously spent time with CR4ZY and Black Lion, among several other organizations since joining the professional scene with SPGeSports in 2017.
