The London Spitfire signed flex support Owen “prov1de” Warner to their Overwatch League roster on Friday.

prov1de, who used to be known as Slur, is returning to Overwatch League after he was dropped from Los Angeles Valiant prior to the 2020 season following screenshots emerging of him using racial slurs in 2018.

The 23-year-old Englishman has since apologized and retired from professional play in 2020 before returning with DarkMode NA and Maryville Esports.

“Excited to prove to people (I’ve) changed for the better not only as a player but as a professional and as a person in the last two years,” he wrote on Twitter. “Wanted this opportunity more than anything, now it’s time to focus on grind.”

London Spitfire’s revamped roster consists of tank Daniel “Hadi” Bleinagel, off-tank Gael “Poko” Gouzerch, Johannes “Shax” Nielsen, William “SparkR” Andersson, Jamie “Backbone” O’Neill and prov1de.

The fifth season of the Overwatch League is expected to begin in April.
