The United States men’s national team will face Bosnia and Herzegovina in a Dec. 18 friendly in Carson, Calif.

The match announced Tuesday by the U.S. Soccer Federation falls outside of an international window, meaning the U.S. roster will be composed mostly of players who are based in the United States.

Coach Gregg Berhalter will hold a training camp starting Dec. 5 in Carson.

The game will be a tune-up for the USMNT, which has three 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers scheduled in January and February against El Salvador, Canada and Honduras.

The U.S. (3-1-2, 11 points) is currently in second place behind Mexico (4-0-2, 14 points) in the CONCACAF qualifying table for the Qatar World Cup. Canada (2-0-4, 10 points) is third.

The Americans and Bosnians have met twice before since the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina was formed in 1992. The U.S. won 4-3 in Sarajevo in 2013 and played to a 0-0 draw in California in 2018.
