New York Jets backup quarterback Mike White will get his first NFL start Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

White replaces starter Zach Wilson, who is expected to miss two-to-four weeks due to a knee injury sustained Sunday in the Jets’ 54-13 road loss to the New England Patriots.

White took over for the Jets (1-5) after Wilson got hurt. In his first NFL action, the 26-year-old completed 20 of 32 passes for 202 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.

Jets coach Robert Saleh said Wednesday the expectations won’t be any different with White under center.

“Same expectations every starting quarterback would have,” said Saleh. “Take care of the football, move the football, move the chains, score when you have the chance to score. Just really command the offense the way he has since OTAs and training camp.”

Practice squad QB Josh Johnson is expected to be elevated to the active roster as White’s backup.

Following Wilson’s injury, the Jets reacquired Joe Flacco in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday.

The Eagles confirmed that they picked up a conditional 2022 sixth-round draft pick in exchange for Flacco. According to multiple media outlets, the selection could become a fifth-rounder depending on Flacco’s playing time in New York.

Flacco, 36, appeared in five games for the Jets last year, losing all four of his starts. In March, he signed a one-year, $3.5 million free agent deal with Philadelphia, but he never got in a game this season while backing up Jalen Hurts.
