Some of the crew, and actor Alec Baldwin ignored several important gun safety rules that would have avoided the death of cinematographer Halyba Hutchins this Thursday. Director Joel Souza was wounded as the bullet went straight though her chest to pierce Joel in his clavicle. He has been released from the hospital.
Zach Knight who was a pyrotechnic and special effects engineer Zak Knight, a pyrotechnic and special effects engineer, said there’s no reason a gun should pointed at another person and that live ammunition should never be on a movie set. Live ammunition is never used on a movie set.
Celebrity actor Alec Baldwin tweet that he was told prop gun was safe before fatal shooting. Alec Baldwin was told firearm was unloaded, according to the search warrant.

Dave Halls were named in a search warrant on Friday by authorities. When Gutierrez-Reed was interviewed, she said she wasn’t sure if she was ready to be a head armorer. She had only led a productions firearm department one time before.
Even before the shooting occurred, workers on the film are complaining that they had to stay overnight in Albuquerque NM which was an hour’s drive from the set of the movie and not stay in Santa Fe because the budget would not allow for them to stay in that hotel closer to the set. the complaining crew was replaced by local workers.
