Alyn Breed, a redshirt senior guard for North Carolina State, has been cleared for all basketball-related activities after recovering from a knee injury, head coach Will Wade said Wednesday.

Wade is in his first season at NC State after two seasons at McNeese State, where his teams went 50-9 and made two NCAA Tournament appearances as champions of the Southland Conference.

The 6-foot-4 Breed was part of Wade’s team at McNeese and scored 35 points in two games before the injury.

He is one of two guards to follow Wade to NC State, joining 6-foot-6 Quadir Copeland. Both were ranked as four-star transfers by the 247Sports composite.

Before McNeese, Breed played three seasons at Providence, averaging 4.3 points, 1.9 rebounds and 16.6 minutes over 88 games (30 starts) from 2020-23.

Copeland spent two seasons at Syracuse, followed by one with Wade at McNeese. In 87 career games (25 starts), he has averages of 7.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
