Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro will undergo surgery on his left ankle and foot on Friday, multiple media outlets reported.

Herro is expected to miss around eight weeks, per the Miami Herald.

He received platelet-rich plasma and cortisone injections in recent weeks in a bid to avoid surgery.

A first-time All-Star last season, Herro averaged career highs in points (23.9) and assists (5.5) in 77 games (all starts). He shot a personal-best 47.2 percent from the floor and sank a career-high 251 3-pointers.

Herro, 25, has averaged 19.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 361 career games (217 starts) with the Heat since being drafted 13th overall in 2019.

Herro was the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in 2021-22 and ranks second in franchise history with 984 3-pointers.
