The Los Angeles Angels placed outfielder Jorge Soler and utility player Chris Taylor on the 10-day injured list prior to Saturday’s home game against the Seattle Mariners.

Soler has been bothered by his lower back on occasion this season and it acted up again this week. He underwent testing on Thursday and missed Friday’s game.

The move involving Soler is retroactive to Thursday.

Soler, 33, is batting .215 with 12 homers and 34 RBIs in 82 games this season.

Taylor just returned from a fractured left hand on Monday. He told reporters prior to Saturday’s game that he re-fractured the hand while diving for a ball in left field during the seventh inning of Friday night’s 3-2 win over the Mariners.

Taylor told reporters he’ll likely be out six weeks.

The 34-year-old Taylor first fractured the hand when he was hit by a pitch from Tyler Ferguson of the Athletics on June 9.

He is batting .189 with a homer and four RBIs in 15 games with the Angels. He began the season with the Los Angeles Dodgers and batted .200 in 28 games.

The Angels recalled infielder Scott Kingery and outfielder Gustavo Campero from Triple-A Salt Lake to fill the roster openings.

Kingery, 31, is hitting .160 in 25 at-bats over 13 games with the Angels this season. Campero, 27, is batting .125 in 32 at-bats over 18 games for Los Angeles.
