After a weather delay of more than four hours without action ever beginning, the scheduled match between the Houston Dynamo and the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy was postponed late Friday night.

Officials attempted to get the field in a playable condition following a rainstorm but were unsuccessful.

A makeup date was not immediately announced.

Both teams will move from MLS regular-season play to Leagues Cup action over the next two weeks. The Dynamo are set to host Tigres UANL on Tuesday, and Tijuana will visit the Galaxy on Thursday.
