Cloud9 became the third team to improve to 2-0 at the LTA North 2025 Split 2 of the League of Legends tournament in Los Angeles, beating Lyon 2-1 on Sunday in the final match of Week 5.

100 Thieves also won Sunday, beating Dignitas 2-0 to move both Group B teams to 1-1. FlyQuest is the only team at 2-0 in Group B, while Team Liquid is tied atop Group A with Cloud9.

Eight teams competed in positioning play — a round-robin format in which each team plays the other seven once. Each match was one map and the results determined Groups A and B for the group phase, which began April 26 and runs through May 18.

Following group play and one week of cross-group battles, the top six teams will advance to the best-of-five, double-elimination playoffs on May 24-June 15.

The total prize pool is $160,000, with $80,000 going to the winner and $40,000 to the runner-up. The winner also receives entry into the Mid-Season Invitational and the winner and runner-up qualify for the Esports World Cup.

Week 6 opens next Saturday with the Group A showdown between Cloud9 and Team Liquid, followed by 100 Thieves vs. Shopify Rebellion in Group B. Next Sunday, FlyQuest faces Dignitas, and LYON takes on Disguised.
