Team Liquid won the fifth and final map in 72 minutes and 30 seconds to take down PARIVISION 3-2 in the grand final of PGL Wallachia Season 4 on Sunday in Bucharest, Romania.

In a rematch of Saturday’s upper-bracket final, Liquid got out to a 2-0 lead, winning in 37 minutes and 43 minutes on red. PARIVISION staved off defeat in the best-of-five set by prevailing in 35 minutes on green and 41 minutes on red.

Liquid played on red for the decisive fifth map and leaned on Poland’s Michal “Nisha” Jankowski, who supplied 22 of the team’s 42 kills in the marathon victory.

Team Liquid won $300,000 for first place at the $1 million Dota 2 tournament. PARIVISION settled for a second prize of $175,000.

Liquid also got revenge on PARIVISION for beating them 2-1 in the upper-bracket final. That result dropped Liquid into Sunday’s lower-bracket final, where they swept Tundra Esports 2-0 (37 minutes and 42 minutes, both on green). Michael “miCKe” Vu of Sweden was the star for Liquid in that match, averaging a 13.0-2.0-8.5 kills-deaths-assists ratio.

Sixteen teams participated in the $1 million Dota 2 tournament, with the top eight qualifying for the playoffs. All matches were best-of-three until the best-of-five grand final.
