The Calgary Stampeders will visit the Saskatchewan Roughriders for the middle matchup of their three-game set on Saturday at Mosaic Stadium in Regina.

The host Stampeders defeated the Roughriders 23-17 last Saturday. The CFL West Division rivals will meet for the third time this month back in Calgary on Oct. 23.

Saskatchewan (5-3) is 4-1 at home this season and Calgary (3-5) is 1-2 on the road.

The Stampeders survived last weekend’s meeting when Jonathan Moxey intercepted Cody Fajardo’s last-gasp pass.

Bo Levi Mitchell passed for 184 yards and threw touchdown passes to Shawn Bane and Malik Henry to lead Calgary. Kian Schaffer-Baker caught five passes for 107 yards and William Powell gained 106 yards from scrimmage (66 rushing, 40 receiving) with one touchdown for Saskatchewan.

Mitchell left the game in the fourth quarter after aggravating an injury to his throwing shoulder. He was limited in practice Tuesday but was a full participant on Wednesday.

“Yeah, I feel strong,” Mitchell told the Calgary Sun. “Honestly, offensively we had an amazing practice, so I’ll give it a go and give it everything I’ve got.”

The Roughriders are expecting to see Mitchell out there on Saturday.

“We know what Bo is. We know what he’s done, so for us it’s just about preparing for whoever comes and that starts internally,” Saskatchewan defensive lineman Micah Johnson told reporters Wednesday. “We’re focusing on ourselves a lot this week.”

Wednesday’s injury report for the Riders noted that defensive back Elie Bouka and linebacker DeMarquis Gates did not practice due to hamstring issues. Kicker Brett Lauther (head) and receiver Shaq Evans (foot) were limited, while fullback Christopher Ezeala (shoulder), safety A.J. Hendy (Achilles) and offensive tackle Andrew Lauderdale (ankle) were full participants.

For the Stampeders, fullback Elliot Graham (ankle), wideout Kamar Jorden (hamstring) and defensive lineman Andrew Seinet-Spaulding (elbow) did not practice Wednesday and running back Ka’Deem Carey (back) was limited. Kicker Rene Paredes (groin) and receivers Malik Henry (illness) and Josh Huff (ankle) were full participants.

Saskatchewan has a bye week coming up before completing the trifecta with Calgary. The Stampeders are on the road against the B.C. Lions on Oct. 16.
