UFL: Jacob Saylors (3 TDs) leads Battlehawks past Brahmas

Jacob Saylors rushed for three touchdowns and the host St. Louis Battlehawks stayed unbeaten with a 26-9 victory over the San Antonio Brahmas on Sunday.

Saylors had scoring runs of 20 yards and one yard as St. Louis (2-0) built a 17-3 halftime lead. He added a 5-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

St. Louis quarterback Manny Wilkins completed 12 of 16 passes for 162 yards. Saylors hauled in three of those passes for 25 yards. The Battlehawks amassed 319 yards to 223 for the Brahmas.

San Antonio quarterback Kellen Mond went 13-of-27 passing for 129 yards with an interception. Jashaun Corbin scored a touchdown on a 1-yard run late in the third quarter. Anthony McFarland led the Brahmas (0-2) in rushing with 55 yards.

Former NFL kicker Rodrigo Blankenship opened and closed the scoring with field goals of 45 and 22 yards for St. Louis.
