Miami Marlins third baseman Connor Norby will be out four weeks with a Grade 1 left oblique strain.

Manager Clayton McCullough confirmed Tuesday that Norby, 24, will start the season on the injured list.

Norby sustained the injury during Saturday’s Grapefruit League contest against the Houston Astros.

He batted .255 with two doubles, one triple, one homer and six RBIs in 15 games during spring training.

Acquired from Baltimore at the 2024 trade deadline, Norby batted .236 with nine homers and 20 RBIs in 45 games with the Orioles and Marlins as a rookie last season.

Miami opens the season Thursday at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
