Praise Egharevba’s tiebreaking three-point play with 31.8 seconds remaining led No. 24 Oklahoma State to a 68-64 win over Utah on Tuesday in Salt Lake City.

With the score 64-64, the Cowgirls’ Alexia Smith and Anna Gret Asi missed shots, but Egharevba grabbed both offensive rebounds. The second time, she sank a putback layup while getting fouled, then hit the ensuing free throw.

After the Utes turned the ball over, Asi made 1 of 2 foul shots with 15 seconds to go. Utah’s Gianna Kneepkens was unsuccessful on a 3-point attempt in the final seconds.

Micah Gray hit four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points for Oklahoma State (21-5, 11-4 Big 12), which bounced back from a Saturday loss at BYU. Asi put up 15 points, and Egharevba amassed 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Kneepkens scored 16 points for the Utes (20-6, 11-4), who had their seven-game winning streak end. Jenna Johnson and Reese Ross each contributed nine points.

The Cowgirls wound up with a 47-31 rebounding edge, including a 20-10 advantage on the offensive glass. The game featured eight lead changes, five of them in the fourth quarter after Utah led by as many as nine points in the third.
