The Jacksonville Jaguars have interviewed Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn for their head coaching vacancy, the team confirmed Saturday.

The team is searching for a replacement for Doug Pederson, who was fired Monday after the Jaguars finished 4-13 in his third season with the club.

Glenn, 52, has been the Lions’ DC since 2021. Detroit finished seventh in the league this season in scoring defense (20.1) and 20th in total defense (342.4).

He is the second candidate to have interviewed for the job. On Friday, the club said it had conducted an interview with Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.

Spagnuolo, 65, is 11-41 as a head coach after finishing 10-38 with the then-St. Louis Rams (2009-11) and 1-3 as the interim coach of the New York Giants in 2017.

Both Glenn and Spagnuolo interviewed virtually.

The Jaguars have requested interviews with 10 candidates. The others are: defensive coordinators Brian Flores (Minnesota Vikings) and Patrick Graham (Las Vegas Raiders), former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh, and offensive coordinators Joe Brady (Buffalo Bills), Liam Coen (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Ben Johnson (Lions), Todd Monken (Baltimore Ravens) and Kellen Moore (Philadelphia Eagles)
