Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball has once again caught the injury bug and will miss at least four games due to a sprained right wrist, the team announced Tuesday.

Ball sustained the injury during the first quarter of Chicago’s 126-123 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night. He ended up playing through the ailment, posting six points and six assists while logging 18 minutes off the bench.

It marks another unfortunate setback for Ball, who missed each of the past two seasons because of left knee problems. Before taking the floor in Chicago’s season-opening 123-111 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Oct. 23, Ball had not appeared in a game since Jan. 14, 2022.

The Bulls announced that Ball would be re-evaluated in 10 days, and they don’t believe that the injury will present a long-term issue.

Chicago was already resting Ball during back-to-backs to get him back up to speed.

In three games this season, the 27-year-old has been used exclusively as a reserve and has averaged 4.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

The Los Angeles Lakers selected Ball with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 draft.

The Bulls, off to a 2-2 start, will host the Orlando Magic on Wednesday. Ball also figures to be sidelined for contests at Brooklyn on Friday, against Utah on Monday and at Dallas on Nov. 6.
