DOTA: Nouns, beastcoast, Infinity advance at PGA Wallachia Season 2

Nouns Esports, beastcoast and Infinity each advanced to the playoffs with a victory Wednesday at the PGL Wallachia Season 2 competition in Bucharest, Romania.

Nouns notched a 2-0 win over Invictus Gaming, beastcoast did the same against Azure Ray and Infinity posted a 2-1 triumph versus Alliance in Round 5 matches between 2-2 teams.

The $1 million Dota 2 event opened with 16 teams in a modified Swiss-system group stage. The top eight teams — all of which had to achieve three wins — advanced to the double-elimination playoffs, while the bottom eight were eliminated.

All matches are best-of-three except for the best-of-five grand final on Sunday. The championship team will pocket $300,000, with the runner-up receiving $175,000.

Nouns secured a 41-minute win on red and 33-minute victory on green to dispatch Invictus Gaming.

beastcoast seized a 49-minute win on red and 55-minute victory on green to topple Azure Ray.

And Alliance recorded a 46-minute win on green before Infinity rebounded with 35- and 52-minute victories on red.
