Bobby Wood scored twice in the first half to continue his strong play, and Luca Langoni added a goal and an assist in his MLS debut as the New England Revolution rolled past host CF Montreal 5-0 on Saturday evening.

Nick Lima and Giacomo Vrioni also scored goals and Carles Gil added two assists for the Revolution (8-14-2, 26 points), who ended a four-match winless streak.

Montreal (6-11-9, 27 points) is winless in its last three league matches (0-2-1).

New England took the lead in the seventh minute as a pass from Gil found the foot of Brandon Bye. The defender’s cross from the right side of the box was met with a sliding finish from Wood to make it 1-0.

The Revs doubled their lead to 2-0 in the 37th minute. In an odd sequence right in front of the net, Wood dug the ball away from several Montreal defenders and snuck it past the goal line. Wood has scored four times in his last three matches across all competitions.

The lead grew to 3-0 in the 71st minute. Vrioni smartly laid off a Gil back pass inside the box to Lima, who made no mistake with his opportunity.

Langoni, signed from Boca Juniors on Aug. 2 for a reported $7 million transfer fee — a club record — entered the match in the 77th minute and made an immediate impact, assisting on Vrioni’s 79th-minute goal, then making it 5-0 in the 83rd minute with a goal of his own.

Vrioni appeared to make it 6-0 in the 90th minute, but he was called offside.

Aljaz Ivacic was credited with four saves as he kept his fourth clean sheet of the season. Jonathan Sirois recorded one save for Montreal.

The Revs were forced into a 12th-minute substitution as Bye exited with an apparent leg injury.
