Derek Hill homered twice and the Texas Rangers finally got their offense going, pounding the host Baltimore Orioles 11-2 to salvage the finale of a four-game series Sunday night.

Andrew Heaney struck out 10 in seven solid innings and Wyatt Langford, who drilled a three-run home run, finished with four hits, drove in four runs and scored three runs as the Rangers snapped a six-game losing streak.

Hill, who also homered Saturday night, drove in three runs and Nathaniel Lowe added a pair of run-scoring singles. It was just the fifth victory in the past 16 games for Texas.

Baltimore’s four-game winning streak ended as the Orioles closed a homestand with a 4-3 mark.

Heaney (3-9) had lost his past three decisions, but he held Baltimore to five hits and didn’t walk a batter in his 93-pitch effort. Jose Urena pitched the final two innings.

Orioles starter Cole Irvin (6-5) was shelled for five runs on five hits in 3 2/3 innings. The 11 runs scored by the Rangers matched the second most allowed by Baltimore in a game this year.

Ryan O’Hearn finished with three hits for the Orioles.

Hill’s two-run homer opened the scoring in the second inning. Langford’s fourth homer of the year ended the scoring in the eighth.

The Orioles got their first run on O’Hearn’s single in the second.

The Rangers stretched the lead to 5-1 in the fourth on RBI singles from Lowe, Andrew Knizner and Josh Smith.

Heston Kjerstad’s RBI double trimmed the Orioles’ deficit to 5-2 in the bottom of the fourth before the Rangers racked up a three-run fifth that was capped by Hill’s third homer of the season.

Austin Hays scored both runs for the Orioles.

Relievers Nick Vespi and Matt Krook, who was making his 2024 big-league debut and in his first game with the Orioles, each gave up three runs out of the Baltimore bullpen. Only two of the runs Krook allowed were earned.
