LOL: Team Liquid improve to 2-0 at LCS Summer Split

Team Liquid blanked Shopify Rebellion 2-0 on Sunday to remain perfect in group-stage action at the 2024 League Championship Series Summer Split.

Liquid prevailed in 27 minutes on blue before winning in 26 minutes on red to improve to 2-0 in group play. American Eain “APA” Stearns led the winners with 13 kills, three deaths and nine assists.

Eight teams are fighting for six spots in the double-elimination playoff bracket. The top two seeds will head to the upper-bracket semifinals, with the other four seeds duking it out in the upper-bracket quarterfinals.

The winner will take home $100,000 of the $200,000 prize pool, with the top three teams qualifying for the World Championship.

In Sunday’s other match, FlyQuest edged NRG 2-1.

FlyQuest took an early lead thanks to a 26-minute victory on blue, but NRG answered with a 40-minute win on blue. Playing on blue once again, FlyQuest downed NRG in 29 minutes to spoil the comeback bid.

Group play resumes on Thursday with two matches:
–100 Thieves vs. Team Liquid
–Immortals vs. NRG
