Novak Djokovic will make his fifth Olympic appearance this summer in Paris, Serbian officials confirmed Tuesday.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion had surgery earlier this month to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee.

The injury forced the 37-year-old Djokovic to withdraw from the French Open quarterfinals. It is not yet confirmed whether he will miss Wimbledon in July.

He will be seeking his first gold medal when he returns to Roland Garros for the tennis competition, taking place from July 27 to Aug. 4.

Djokovic won the bronze medal at his first Olympics in Beijing in 2008. He lost the third-place matches in London in 2012 and in Tokyo in 2021.
