The Baltimore Orioles placed left-hander Danny Coulombe on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with left elbow inflammation.

The team also reinstated infielder Jorge Mateo from the 7-day concussion injured list, recalled right-hander Bryan Baker from Triple-A Norfolk and optioned rookie infielder/outfielder Connor Norby to Norfolk.

Coulombe, 34, is 1-0 with a 2.42 ERA and one save in 29 relief appearances this season. He is 15-9 with a 3.57 ERA and three saves in 284 games (one start) with four teams since his 2014 debut.

Mateo, 28, went into concussion protocol after getting struck by a bat in the on-deck circle during a June 2 game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Mateo is batting .246 with three homers, 13 RBIs and 10 stolen bases in 42 games this season. He is a career .225 hitter with 27 homers, 113 RBIs and 88 steals in 419 games with the San Diego Padres (2020-21) and Orioles.

Baker, 29, has not pitched in the majors this season. He went 1-1 with five saves and a 6.55 ERA in 23 games out of the Norfolk bullpen.

Norby, 24, a second-round pick in 2021, made his MLB debut on June 3 and batted .214 (3-for-14) with a homer and two RBIs in four games for the Orioles.
