The Atlanta Braves placed left-handed reliever A.J. Minter on the 15-day injured list Thursday with left hip inflammation.

The team recalled right-hander Jimmy Herget from Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding transaction.

Minter, 30, is 5-3 with a 2.95 ERA and one save in 25 appearances out of the bullpen this season.

He is 24-28 with a 3.32 ERA and 36 saves in 370 games (no starts) since making his debut with Atlanta in 2017.

Herget, 30, made two scoreless relief appearances with the Braves earlier this month after being acquired from the Los Angeles Angels for cash considerations on May 2.

Herget is 7-8 with a 3.40 ERA and nine saves in 123 career games (three starts) with the Cincinnati Reds (2019), Texas Rangers (2020-21), Angels (2021-23) and Braves.
