Blazer5 Gaming beat Kings Guard Gaming 67-61 on Monday at the NBA 2K League’s 5v5 The Tipoff event.
Claude “Claude” Knight poured in a game-high 32 points on 11-of-20 shooting for Blazer5. He hit 10 3-pointers, and teammate Wahid “Faiz” Faiz chipped in 17 points and six assists.
Nasir “Fatstop” Love and Andy “ScoreSzn” Fernandez paced the Kings with 20 points apiece.
The Tipoff is the first of three tournaments that lead up to the NBA 2K League 5v5 Playoffs that run from June 26-29. The Tipoff runs through May 25, and it will be followed by The Turn (May 29-June 15) and The Ticket (June 18 and 22).
