Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton didn’t practice Thursday due to an ankle injury and is listed as questionable for Friday’s Game 3 of their Eastern Conference first-round series against the host Indiana Pacers.

Middleton tweaked his right leg in the opening quarter of Tuesday’s 125-108 loss in Game 2. He briefly exited the game before returning and finished with 15 points, six assists and five rebounds in 36 minutes.

Bucks coach Doc Rivers said he was unsure how to view Middleton’s status for Game 3.

“It’s another holding-our-breath situation,” Rivers said. “Honestly, I don’t know.”

Middleton is averaging 19.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists through the first two games, which the teams split.

The Bucks were without two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) for the first two games.

Rivers was optimistic about how Antetokounmpo looked on Thursday, but the club later listed him as doubtful.

“I saw him moving around and my mindset is he’s getting close,” Rivers said. “Does that mean a day, four days? I’m not sure.”
