Natus Vincere, G2 Esports and FaZe Clan earned victories on the final day of the elimination stage Sunday to advance to the playoffs of the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 in Denmark.

In Round 5, FaZe and Na’Vi both swept their way into the playoffs while G2 had to battle back from a map down to punch their ticket.

G2 dropped the first map in overtime, 16-14, as Virtus.pro took the early lead on Overpass. G2 also trailed 7-3 in the second map, Inferno, before rallying to win 13-11. G2 clinched with a 13-6 win on Anubis. Russian Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov recorded 65 kills and a plus-23 K-D differential to pace G2.

FaZe swept Complexity, winning 13-6 on Nuke and 13-6 on Overpass. David “Frozen” Cernansky of Slovakia led the way with 36 kills and a plus-11 kills-to-deaths differential.

Na’Vi swept paiN, winning 13-10 on Nuke and 13-9 on Mirage. Rodrigo “biguzera” Bittencourt led the all-Brazilian side with 32 kills and a plus-1 K-D differential.

Twenty-four teams began the Counter-Strike 2 tournament, 16 of which had to go through the opening stage. Eight advanced to the elimination stage to join eight previous qualifiers. For the first two stages, play is conducted using the Swiss System format.

Playoffs are scheduled for March 28-31. Eight teams will battle in a single-elimination bracket, where all matches are best-of-three.
