The Minnesota Timberwolves acquired point guard Monte Morris from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Shake Milton, Troy Brown Jr. and a 2030 second-round pick, multiple outlets reported Wednesday.

Morris, 28, has played just six games this season while dealing with a quad injury. He’s averaging 4.5 points and 11.3 minutes per game in his limited action. He’s in the final year of a three-year, $27.7 million extension he signed with Denver in December 2020.

He was traded twice on the same day last July, first from Denver to Washington which flipped him to the Pistons.

Milton, 27, is averaging 4.7 points in 38 games (no starts) for the Timberwolves this season, his first in Minnesota. He played his first five seasons in Philadelphia.

Brown, 24, is averaging 4.2 points in 37 games (three starts) this season, also his first in Minnesota. Detroit will be his fifth team in six seasons in the league. He was a first-round pick of the Washington Wizards (No. 15 overall) in 2018.
