The New York Mets reached an agreement with free agent right-hander Shintaro Fujinami, per multiple reports Friday.

MLB Network said the 29-year-old Japan international will earn $3.35 million plus up to $850,000 in incentives.

A three-time All-Star in Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball league, Fujinami split his first season in the majors in 2023 with the Oakland Athletics and Baltimore Orioles.

He went 7-8 with a 7.18 ERA in 64 appearances (seven starts), striking out 83 batters and walking 45 in 79 innings of work.

Used exclusively in the Baltimore bullpen, Fujinami went 2-0 with two saves and a 4.85 ERA in 30 games after being acquired in a July 19 trade.
