The NBA fined the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Orleans Pelicans for violating injury reporting rules, the league announced Thursday.

The Sixers will pay a $75,000 fine for not including center Joel Embiid on their injury report in “an accurate and timely manner” ahead of their game Saturday against the Nuggets in Denver. Without the reigning NBA MVP, who was nursing a left knee ailment, the 76ers fell 111-105.

This was the fourth consecutive season that Embiid did not play at Denver.

The league said the amount of fine considered Philadelphia’s prior instances of violating injury-reporting rules.

The Pelicans were fined $25,000 for not listing guard Trey Murphy III on their injury report ahead of Saturday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks, a 141-117 loss. Murphy did not play but returned to play in New Orleans’ games on Monday and Wednesday.
