No. 4 Kansas State achieved its highest ranking in 21 years and South Carolina remained a unanimous No. 1 in the Associated Press women’s college basketball Top 25 poll, released Monday.

The Wildcats (18-1) have not lost since Nov. 26 and climbed three spots after Saturday’s 69-58 win against Kansas.

The Gamecocks (17-0) received all 35 first-place votes heading into a Southeastern Conference showdown at No. 9 LSU (18-2) on Thursday night.

No. 2 UCLA (15-1) also moved up three places, with No. 3 Colorado (16-2) and No. 5 Iowa (18-2) rounding out the top five. The Hawkeyes fell three spots following Sunday’s 100-92 overtime loss at Ohio State (15-3), who jumped six places to No. 12 this week.

No. 6 Stanford (17-2), No. 7 North Carolina State (16-2), No. 8 UConn (16-3), LSU and No. 10 Texas (18-2) fill out the top 10 this week.

No. 22 Syracuse (16-2), No. 24 West Virginia (16-2) and No. 25 Oregon State (15-3) entered the poll, replacing Iowa State, Marquette and UNLV.
