The Chicago Red Stars acquired defender Maximiliane Rall from FC Bayern Munchen, the club announced Monday.

The 30-year-old German international signed a one-year contract with a mutual option for 2025. The Red Stars did not disclose the transfer fee to the Frauen-Bundesliga club.

“We are incredibly fortunate to welcome Maximiliane to the Red Stars,” team president Karen Leetzow said. “Maxi has experience playing at the highest levels of European football, both in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League, and is part of a top 10 FIFA ranked national team. We have no doubt she’ll be able to use that experience to elevate our play on the pitch and help us build a winning culture.”

Rall recorded 15 goals and four assists in 40 matches (26 starts) since joining Bayern Munchen in 2021.

Internationally she has earned four starts for Germany, including a 2-1 win against the United States women’s national team in a 2022 friendly.
