
Lakers star LeBron James, considered questionable to play Saturday night due to a non-COVID illness, started in Los Angeles’ 108-106 loss to the host Minnesota Timberwolves in Minneapolis.
James, who celebrated his 39th birthday on Saturday, also was nursing a left knee injury. However, he hit 10 of 21 shots for the floor while amassing 26 points and six assists in 39 minutes.
He has missed three games this season, including a 118-111 setback in Minnesota on Dec. 21.
The NBA’s all-time leading scorer, James is averaging 25.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.4 assists in 30 games this season.
