The New York Red Bulls re-signed defender Dylan Nealis to a one-year contract for the 2024 season on Thursday.

Nealis, 25, has recorded three assists in 47 matches (30 starts) with NYRB since arriving in a 2022 trade with Nashville SC.

He was on the pitch for five shutouts for New York during the 2023 MLS campaign.

“We are very excited to keep Dylan with the club,” said head of sport Jochen Schneider. “We have seen a lot from Dylan over the last two seasons. He made a big step forward in his development over the last year — on and off the pitch. We are happy to keep consistency within our backline.”

Drafted No. 3 overall in 2020 by Inter Miami CF, Nealis has collected four assists in 70 career matches (42 starts).
