Morgan Rielly had a goal and an assist as the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Dallas Stars 4-1 on Thursday.

Mitchell Marner, Tyler Bertuzzi and John Tavares also scored for the Maple Leafs, who have won three in a row.

Joseph Woll made 31 saves in his second straight start in goal for the Maple Leafs, who are 3-1-0 on their five-game road trip.

Mason Marchment scored for the Stars, who had registered a point in each of their previous games this season, going 4-0-1.

Scott Wedgewood stopped 20 shots for the Stars.

The Maple Leafs have won six consecutive games in Dallas, and Toronto has 17 victories in the teams’ past 21 meetings.

Rielly scored his second goal of the season at 9:49 of the first period from the edge of the crease with the teams playing with four skaters each. He knocked in a backhand pass from William Nylander, who had circled behind the net before passing from the right circle.

Marner hit the right goal post at 17:40 of the first.

Toronto’s Jake McCabe (lower-body injury) left the game early in the first period and did not return, leaving the Maple Leafs with five defensemen.

Toronto had an 8-5 advantage in shots on goal after one period.

Dallas had the first six shots on goal in the second period, forcing Woll to make a couple of big saves.

Marchment scored his first goal of the season at 11:17 of the second on a shot from the left circle. Matt Duchene’s pass set up the goal as the Stars took advantage of a Maple Leafs change after a long shift.

Toronto regained the lead at 18:07 of the second after a Dallas turnover. Marner scored his second goal of the season on a shot from the left circle after a pass from Auston Matthews.

Dallas led 21-18 in shots on goal after two periods.

Bertuzzi scored his second goal of the season on a deflection at 5:08 of the third period during a power play. Jani Hakanpaa was serving a double minor for high-sticking.

Wedgewood was removed for an extra attacker with more than three minutes to play. Tavares scored into the empty net in the final seconds, his fourth goal of the season.
