Taylor Hall described himself as a “miracle healer” after returning to the ice for Friday’s workout with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Hall exited the Blackhawks’ 3-1 road loss to the Boston Bruins on Wednesday in the second period with an upper-body injury and the left winger was considered “week to week.”

But Blackhawks coach Luke Richardson said Hall can be upgraded to day-to-day with the exception of Saturday’s game against Montreal, for which the team said he is still out.

Hall took a hard hit from Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo, exited, then returned for one shift before going back to the dressing room.

Richardson, who had a 21-year NHL playing career, was critical of Carlo’s hit.

“That’s a guy coming across the ice,” Richardson said. “That’s what the game is trying to get rid of. I know exactly what it is because I used to do it all the time. But now it’s not in the game.”

After spending parts of the past three seasons with Boston, Hall was traded to the Blackhawks on June 26 along with forward Nick Foligno in exchange for Alec Regula and Ian Mitchell.

Hall, 31, tallied his first career point with the Blackhawks in the opening period on Wednesday, assisting rookie sensation Connor Bedard’s first NHL goal.

The first overall pick in the 2010 draft, Hall has recorded 694 career points (264 goals, 430 assists) in 824 games. The five-time All-Star and 2017-18 NHL MVP is in his 14th NHL season.
