Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers signed a two-year contract worth $75 million on Wednesday, which equates to a paycut of $33.7 million from the $108.7 million guaranteed he had remaining on his existing deal.

Rodgers confirmed the contract was addressed on Wednesday before multiple reports detailed the fully guaranteed contract covers the next two seasons at a reduced rate.

Rodgers turns 40 in December, and the four-time MVP signed a three-year deal with the Packers before the 2022 season. The $150.8 million contract with the Packers included a $40.8 signing bonus and was fully guaranteed at an average of $50.2 million per year.

The deal signed Wednesday represents the second contract adjustment with the Jets since he was traded from the Green Bay Packers.

Before Wednesday, Rodgers’ amended contract called for a salary of $1.165 million for 2023 before jumping to $107.55 million in 2024, which included an option bonus of $58.3 million.
