Max Verstappen delivered Red Bull Racing’s record 12th consecutive Formula One victory Sunday at the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest.

It was the seventh straight win for Verstappen, who finished 33.7 seconds ahead of runner-up Lando Norris.

The 12-race win streak for Red Bull eclipses the previous circuit record established by McLaren in 1988.

“What an unbelievable rocket ship that was today,” Verstappen said. “That was so enjoyable to drive.”

Verstappen now holds a 110-point lead in the driver’s standings over Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez at the season’s midway point. Perez was third on Sunday.

Red Bull has swept all 11 races this season — nine wins by Verstappen and two by Perez. The streak began with Verstappen’s triumph at last season’s finale in Abu Dhabi.
