Charlotte FC are planning to acquire Scottish midfielder Scott Arfield, The Athletic reported Monday.
The 34-year-old veteran has played the past five seasons at Rangers FC in the Scottish Premiership.
Arfield has recorded 89 goals and 42 assists in 661 career matches in England and Scotland since 2007.
He competed internationally for Canada, earning 19 caps and scoring two goals from 2016-19.
The MLS secondary transfer window runs from July 5 to Aug. 2.
