MLS: Report: RSL acquiring Colombian M Nelson Palacio

Real Salt Lake are close to acquiring Colombian midfielder Nelson Palacio, The Athletic reported Monday.

The 22-year-old Palacio scored three goals in 83 appearances for Atletico Nacional in his country’s top flight.

Palacio earned his first cap with Colombia’s national team in a 2-2 draw against South Korea on March 24.

The MLS secondary transfer window opens on July 5 and runs through Aug. 2.
