JD Gaming swept Golden Guardians on Friday to reach the upper bracket semifinals at the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational.
JD Gaming recorded a 25-minute win on blue before completing the 3-0 sweep with a pair of victories on red.
They advanced to Sunday’s clash against Bilibili Gaming, who secured a 3-0 win over Cloud9 in their quarterfinal match on Thursday.
Golden Guardians also return to action on Sunday when they face Cloud9 in a lower-bracket Round 1 clash.
The $250,000 Mid-Season Invitational’s bracket stage runs through May 21 with a top prize of $50,000. That stage is contested in a double-elimination format. All matches are best-of-five.
