Princeton leading scorer and former Ivy League Player of the Year Tosan Evbuomwan has declared for the 2023 NBA Draft.

Evbuomwan had one year of eligibility remaining, just not at Princeton; Ivy League policy prohibits postgraduate players. Evbuomwan will graduate in May.

He chose the NBA over the transfer portal.

“I’ve accomplished everything that I could’ve hoped to at Princeton and I’m ready for the next step in my basketball career,” Evbuomwan told ESPN on Wednesday night. “I’m excited to show NBA teams who I am and what I’m capable of as the pre-draft process unfolds.”

The 6-foot-7 Evbuomwan averaged 15.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 32 games this past season. He finished his final game at Princeton with 24 points, six boards and nine assists against Creighton.

He was the Ivy League POY in 2021-22.

Princeton also is losing Ryan Langborg and Keeshawn Kellman to the transfer portal due to the conference’s policy.
