NBA2K: Glitchy upset Raptors in NBA 2K League’s 3v3 Slam Open

Community team Glitchy pulled out a 3-2 win over Raptors Uprising GC on Thursday to advance to the upper-bracket quarterfinals in the NBA 2K League’s 3v3 Slam Open.

Glitchy, seeded 31st in the 32-team, $150,000 event, got past No. 18 Raptors Uprising GC to earn a quarterfinal matchup against NetsGC. The 10th-seeded Nets cruised to a 3-0 win over No. 7 Wizards District Gaming.

In other Thursday action, No. 16 Pistons GT stunned No. 1 Bucks Gaming 3-0, No. 8 Jazz Gaming defeated No. 9 76ers GC 3-1, No. 13 Hawks Talon GC downed No. 29 Handlez 3-1, No. 5 Cavs Legion GC swept No. 12 Grizz Gaming 3-0, No. 3 Knicks Gaming beat No. 19 Pacers Gaming 3-1 and No. 11 T-Wolves Gaming routed No. 27 Gamers First Longhorns 3-0.

The playoffs began in a best-of-five, double-elimination format, with the opening rounds played remotely through Friday. The final 12 teams will then face off in-person from Wednesday through April 1 in Washington. Those matches will be best-of-five but single elimination.

All 25 professional teams advanced to the playoffs, with group-play records determining seeding. The top seven teams from the community competition filled out the final seven seeds.

–No. 27 Gamers First Longhorns vs. No. 17 Celtics Crossover Gaming
