Sporting Kansas City acquired defenseman Dany Rosero in a transfer from Atletico Junior in Colombia on Thursday.

Sporting KC signed Rosero to a three-year contract with an option for 2026. He’ll occupy an international spot, pending receipt of his international transfer certificate and P1 visa.

Rosero, 29, has scored 20 goals in 300 appearances across Colombia and Argentina, spending the past seven seasons in the Colombian top-flight Categoria Primera A with Patriotas Boyaca, Deportivo Cali and Junior.
