Nashville Predators forward Tommy Novak signed a one-year, $800,000 contract extension on Wednesday.

The deal will begin next season and represents a slight bump in pay for Novak. He currently is playing on a one-year, $750,000 contract he signed with the Predators on July 18.

Novak, 25, has recorded 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in 20 games this season. He also totaled 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 25 games with Milwaukee of the American Hockey League prior to making his season debut with Nashville on Dec. 19.

Novak has 18 points (five goals, 13 assists) in 47 career games since being selected by the Predators in the third round of the 2015 NHL Draft.
