MLB: Twins add RHP Aaron Sanchez on minor league deal

The Minnesota Twins are bringing back All-Star right-hander Aaron Sanchez on a minor league deal after he pitched in eight games for the club last season.

Sanchez, 30, was 0-1 with a 4.71 ERA for Minnesota last season, making three starts. He started the season with the Washington Nationals, going 3-3 with an 8.33 ERA in seven starts.

An All-Star in 2016 with the Toronto Blue Jays, Sanchez led the American League with a 3.00 ERA in 30 starts that season.

Sanchez is 38-38 over his career in 174 appearances (113 starts) and has a 4.16 ERA in eight seasons for the Blue Jays (2014-19), Houston Astros (2019) and San Francisco Giants (2021), before his stints with two teams last season.
